  • Description

The Spotted Silver Dollar is a peaceful, schooling freshwater fish admired for its distinctive silver body decorated with dark spots and its active swimming behaviour. Closely related to piranhas but completely non-aggressive, these fish make an impressive addition to larger community aquariums with similarly sized tank mates.

Spotted Silver Dollars are primarily herbivores and appreciate a varied diet rich in plant matter. They thrive when kept in groups and are best suited to spacious aquariums where they have plenty of room to swim.
