Pink Magenta Mystery Snail

The Pink Magenta Mystery Snail is a stunning freshwater aquarium snail prized for its vibrant pink to magenta shell and contrasting body colour. Its eye-catching appearance makes it a beautiful addition to planted and community aquariums, adding colour and activity without taking up valuable swimming space.

Mystery Snails are peaceful and active scavengers that spend much of their time exploring aquarium surfaces in search of leftover food, soft algae, and decaying plant material. They are generally compatible with peaceful community fish, shrimp, and other non-aggressive aquarium inhabitants.

Feeding

Although Mystery Snails will graze on algae and leftover food, they should not be expected to survive solely on aquarium waste. Provide a varied diet including quality sinking pellets, algae wafers, and blanched vegetables such as zucchini, spinach, or green beans.

Calcium is particularly important for maintaining strong, healthy shell growth. Ensure the aquarium has adequate mineral content and provide a suitable calcium source if required.

Aquarium Care

Maintain good water quality with regular partial water changes and stable water parameters. Avoid medications and treatments containing copper unless specifically confirmed as safe for aquatic snails, as copper can be highly toxic to invertebrates.

Keep a secure aquarium lid, as Mystery Snails may climb above the waterline and can escape from uncovered tanks. They naturally lay their egg clutches above the waterline.
