Directions for Use

Always read and follow the current dosage instructions printed on the Blue Planet pH Down packaging.

Test the aquarium's pH before adding the product. Accurately calculate the volume of aquarium water and add only the recommended amount.

After dosing, allow sufficient time for the treatment to circulate before testing the pH again. Further adjustment should be made gradually rather than attempting to create a large change in a single dose.

Managing Aquarium pH

Different freshwater species naturally prefer different pH ranges. Before adjusting your aquarium, research the appropriate conditions for the fish, plants, shrimp, snails and other livestock being maintained.

When adjusting pH:

• Test the water before treatment
• Make changes gradually
• Avoid sudden or extreme pH fluctuations
• Regularly monitor pH after treatment
• Consider testing Carbonate Hardness (KH), as this influences pH stability
• Avoid repeatedly adding pH-adjusting chemicals without identifying why the pH is changing
• Maintain regular aquarium water changes and filtration

A stable pH within a suitable range is generally preferable to repeatedly causing significant fluctuations while trying to achieve an exact number.

Important Information

Rapid changes in pH can stress or harm aquarium inhabitants. Never exceed the manufacturer's recommended dosage and avoid adding large amounts in an attempt to rapidly lower aquarium pH.

Do not mix Blue Planet pH Down directly with other concentrated aquarium chemicals or medications unless specifically directed by the manufacturers.
