Directions for Use

Always read and follow the current dosage instructions provided on the Blue Planet packaging before use.

Accurately calculate the volume of water in your aquarium before dosing and never exceed the recommended amount.

Remove as many snails as possible manually before treatment. After treatment, remove dead snails promptly, as large numbers of decomposing snails can negatively affect water quality and potentially cause increases in ammonia.

Test aquarium water regularly during and after treatment, particularly when treating a heavy snail infestation.

Controlling Pest Snails

Snail populations often increase when excess food is available. To help prevent future outbreaks:

• Avoid overfeeding your fish
• Remove uneaten food
• Regularly vacuum the substrate
• Remove decaying plant material
• Inspect new plants before adding them to the aquarium
• Manually remove pest snails when first noticed
• Maintain good overall aquarium hygiene

Important Information

Do not assume this product is safe for desirable snails, shrimp, or other aquatic invertebrates. If you keep Mystery Snails, Nerite Snails, shrimp, or other invertebrates, check the current product label before treatment and relocate livestock where required.

Some snail-control medications may also require additional precautions with sensitive or scaleless fish.

Do not combine Snail Rid with other aquarium medications unless the manufacturers specifically state that they can safely be used together.
