Directions for Use

Rinse the activated carbon thoroughly under clean water before use to remove loose carbon dust. Place the required amount inside a suitable filter media bag or filtration compartment and position it where aquarium water can flow freely through the carbon.

Replace the activated carbon periodically, as its ability to absorb impurities decreases over time. Replacement frequency will depend on aquarium size, stocking levels, water conditions, and filtration setup. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.

Important Information

Remove activated carbon from the filtration system before treating your aquarium with medications unless the medication instructions specifically state otherwise. Activated carbon can absorb active ingredients from some medications and reduce their effectiveness.

After medication treatment has been completed, fresh activated carbon can be used to help remove residual medication from the aquarium water.
